Police say 2 injured when small plane crashes in East Tennessee cow pasture


KNOXVILLE, Tennessee — Authorities say two people have been injured when a small plane crashed in an East Tennessee cow pasture.

Knoxville police say the two suffered non-life-threatening injuries Wednesday morning when the plane when down. According to media reports, both were taken to the University of Tennessee Hospital.

The Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement that the aircraft had taken off from the Downtown Island Airport just before the crash.

Authorities are still investigating what cause the plane to go down.
