LONDON — Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao rediscovered their scoring touch for Manchester United in a 3-1 win over Leicester, and Daniel Sturridge made a goal-scoring return for Liverpool in a 2-0 victory against West Ham on Saturday.
Van Persie put United ahead in the 27th minute with his first goal since Dec. 26 and Falcao netted only the fourth goal of his loan spell from Monaco five minutes later.
The victory was wrapped up before half time through Wes Morgan's own goal. Marcin Wasilewski scored in the second half for Leicester, but the visitors were unable to get close to repeating the 5-3 victory in the reverse fixture in September.
At Anfield, Sturridge scored within 12 minutes after coming off the bench after five months out, building on Raheem Sterling's goal.
