LYNN, Massachusetts — A Lynn man baby-sitting two toddlers severely scalded by hot bathtub water is heading to court to face child endangerment charges.

Prosecutors say 21-year-old Charles Robinson Collins is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.

Authorities say Collins, a neighbor, was taking care of the 18-month-old and 3-year-old boys June 18 when they got burned. Fire officials say the younger boy suffered burns over 50 percent of its body, and the older boy had burns over 80 percent of his body. They were flown to a Boston hospital for treatment.

Collins routinely took care of the boys. His father said his son had run across the hall to his own apartment to use the bathroom when the older boy turned on the hot water.

It's not clear of he has a lawyer.
