29-year-old prisoner dies in Reno medical center after multiple trips to hospital

RENO, Nevada — Nevada prison officials say a 29-year-old inmate has died at a Reno hospital after being hospitalized multiple times.

The Nevada Department of Corrections said James Wilson died Monday at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno. The agency didn't provide a cause of Wilson's death or reveal what he had been treated for before in multiple trips to the hospital before his death.

Officials say Wilson had been an inmate in Nevada since November 2010 when he was convicted in Clark County for robbery of an elderly person and sentenced to prison for up to 18 years.
