ALBANY, New York — Police have released the name of a man who was stabbed to death over the weekend at an Albany apartment building.
Albany police say Monday that the victim was 30-year-old Timothy Sprigs of Albany.
Officials say police checking a report of a fight late Saturday night found Sprigs suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to Albany Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police later arrested 29-year-old Nevin Roberts of Albany and charged him with second-degree murder. He was arraigned Sunday and is being held Monday in the Albany County Jail. It couldn't immediately be determined if he has a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
