Amesbury home health aide gets probation for stealing $13,000 from woman she cared for

NEWBURYPORT, Massachusetts — An Amesbury woman who worked as a home health aide for a 91-year-old woman has been sentenced to two years of probation for stealing almost $13,000 from the victim.

Nichole Belluomini pleaded guilty or admitted to sufficient facts to 58 felony counts including larceny over $250 of a person over 60, forgery, uttering a false check and improper use of a credit card.

As part of her deal with prosecutors, Belluomini was sentenced to two years in jail with the entire sentence suspended for two years while of probation.

She was also ordered to pay full restitution.

The Newburyport Daily News ( ) reports that police say Belluomini cashed 21 stolen checks, stole thousands of dollars' worth of jewelry and used the victim's credit card.
