Ocean Knight beats Noble Moon by a head in Belmont Park feature


NEW YORK — Heavily favored Ocean Knight held off Noble Moon by a head Friday in the $80,000 allowance feature at Belmont Park.

The 1-2 choice trained by Kiaran McLaughlin and ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr. prevailed for his third win in five starts. The 3-year-old colt ran a mile in 1:35.16 over the fast track, paying $3, $2.60 and $2.10.

Noble Moon returned $4.50 and $3.30, and Strong Stipulation paid $5.90 to show.
