Deputies: Breaux Bridge High student accused of using social media to threaten shooting


BREAUX BRIDGE, Louisiana — St. Mary Parish sheriff's deputies say a Breaux Bridge High School student has been arrested for using a social media app to threaten a shooting would happen on the school's campus.

Deputies tell The Advocate (http://bit.ly/1NatMfp) 17-year-old Jada Perron was booked Wednesday on a count of terrorizing after the Snapchat message circulated on social media the day before.

Perron was released to her parents on Wednesday afternoon.

Online jail records did not list an attorney for Perron.
