Anthony Lawrence's 453 yards, 3-touchdown day leads San Diego past Stetson, 47-16

DELAND, Florida — Anthony Lawrence completed 20 of 28 passes for 453 yards with three touchdowns to lead San Diego to a 47-16 victory over Stetson on Saturday.

Brian Riley and Justin Priest had 100 yards receiving for the Toreros (6-2, 4-1 Pioneer League). Jereke Armstrong had a 76-yard touchdown reception, and Riley also caught a touchdown for San Diego.

The Toreros never trailed and held a 27-9 halftime lead on the strength of all three of Lawrence's touchdown passes.

Ryan Tentler ran for 57-yard fourth quarter touchdown for Stetson (2-6, 1-5) that cut its deficit to 34-16. But that was as close as the Hatters got, as San Diego's Matthew Cecil ran 45 yards for a touchdown just 14 seconds later.

Tentler finished with 105 yards rushing for Stetson, which has lost six of seven after a week one win.
