LAKE CHARLES, Louisiana — A 19-year-old Lake Charles man has been arrested in the hit-and-run death of a pedestrian.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Kim Myers tells the American Press (http://bit.ly/1eOXZNb) Grant T. Henning was southbound on Weaver Road late Tuesday night when his truck hit 27-year-old Jeremy Daniels.

Myers says Daniels was walking on the side of the road.

She says Daniels died at the scene.

Myers says Henning, who fled and failed to render aid, was booked Wednesday into the Calcasieu Correctional Center on a charge of felony hit-and-run. Judge Sharon Wilson set bond at $20,000.

Online jail records did not list an attorney for Henning.
