RICHMOND, Virginia — Virginia officials are continuing a series of public meetings regarding road, rail and transit projects and improvements.

The Commonwealth Transportation Board is visiting localities throughout Virginia to share information and listen to what residents think about the Six-Year Improvement Program.

The program allocates funding for projects, including road, bridges, sidewalks, bike paths, rail and transit improvements across the state.

The next public meetings are set for Tuesday on Northside High School in Roanoke and Wednesday at the Holiday Inn Bristol Conference Center in Bristol.

Officials say the final revised program will be presented in November, following the public comment period.
