Grain mostly lower, livestock mixed


CHICAGO — Grain futures were mostly lower in early trading Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery was lower .50 cent to $5.1620 a bushel; December corn was 2.25 cents lower at $3.9340 a bushel; December oats were 2 cents higher at 2.2120 a bushel; while November soybeans lost 7 cents to 8.84 a bushel.

Beef was lower and pork was mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle was .75 cent lower at $1.3540 a pound; November feeder cattle was .73 cent lower at $1.8050 a pound; December lean hogs lost .03 cent to $.6595 a pound.
