Defense says new evidence found in Gillette slaying; no details released

GILLETTE, Wyoming — Attorneys for a Gillette man charged with murder in the Thanksgiving Day shooting of another man say they have new evidence in the case, but no details have been released.

A pretrial hearing for 21-year-old Todd Michael Sindelar was postponed Wednesday after his attorneys told the judge the new evidence needs to be processed.

The Gillette News-Record reports ( ) prosecutors did not object and the judge granted a continuance. No new date has been set for the hearing but both sides said they would be ready to resume in about 30 days.

Sindelar is charged with first-degree murder in the Nov. 28 shooting death of Matthew Boyer at Boyer's home. He faces life in prison without parole if convicted.
