BANGOR, Maine — A Waterville man convicted for dealing drugs in central Maine has been sentenced to more than 15 years in federal prison.

Prosecutors say 34-year-old Maurice McCray was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Bangor on Tuesday to 188 months in prison, plus six years of supervised release for trafficking cocaine and the prescription drug oxycondone.

Court records say that from January through mid-March 2012 he obtained more than 500 grams of cocaine and more than 6,500 oxycodone pills from New York City, transported them to Waterville or had couriers do it, and distributed the drugs in Kennebec and Somerset counties.
