EASTON, Pennsylvania — An eastern Pennsylvania man has been ordered to stand trial in the stabbing death of a friend who was dating his ex-girlfriend.
A district judge in Northampton County ruled Wednesday that there was enough evidence for 24-year-old Andrew Hess of Nazareth to be tried in county court.
Authorities allege that Hess stabbed 36-year-odl Richard Parker of Nazareth to death on July 11 in a garage in Moore Township.
The (Easton) Express-Times (http://bit.ly/Zrhslb ) reports that the victim's girlfriend testified that she heard a commotion and found Parker wounded, then saw Hess, who said "I'm going to jail, aren't I?"
Defense attorney Thomas Joachim asked questions focusing on the idea that his client may have been concerned about her. He also wants a forensic pathologist to examine the wounds.
