LOUISVILLE, Kentucky — It's only a test, but when the tornado warnings sound Tuesday morning, state officials encourage Kentucky residents to practice a tornado drill and emergency plan.
Ironically, bad weather pre-empted the statewide drill last week, and officials rescheduled for 10:07 a.m. EDT Tuesday.
The drill will be triggered by the National Weather Service offices in Kentucky, activating weather alert radios, outdoor warning sirens, mobile devices and various media broadcast warning messages.
The warning messages will emphasize that the announcement is a test and not an actual warning.
