KINGMAN, Arizona — Authorities in Mohave County say they believe that medical issues led to the death of a jail inmate over the weekend.

The Mohave County Sheriff's Office says 54-year-old Karen Lea Garner was discovered dead in her cell early Sunday morning.

The Kingman woman was jailed Aug. 23 on charges of possessing dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia. She was being housed in the medical ward.
