HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania — A disbarred central Pennsylvania attorney who pleaded guilty in the theft of millions of dollars from clients is appealing her sentence.

PennLive.com (http://bit.ly/1wFWBYO ) reports that the appeal by 46-year-old Wendy Weikal-Beauchat (WY'-kal BOO'-shay) of Gettysburg comes a week after she was sentenced to 15 years in prison on the wire fraud plea.

The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals filing doesn't specify the grounds for contesting the punishment imposed by Judge John Jones III, who called her "pathological" and said she was unrepentant.

The defendant is representing herself and seeking to be classified as a pauper, saying she currently has no source of income.

Authorities said last month they have frozen a bank account that contains $6 million in hopes of repaying victims.
