DERBY, Vermont — Vermont state police say poor visibility and high speed appear to be factors in a fatal crash in Derby this weekend.

Police say it was raining and the road was wet Saturday night when a car was struck from behind by a motorcycle on Interstate 91. Fifty-year-old Gaetan Delabruere was thrown from the motorcycle and killed.

The driver of the car was uninjured.
