CLAYMONT, Delaware — A company planning to buy the closed Evraz Claymont Steel site will raze the site, clean it up and redevelop it.
Commercial Development Company Inc., based in St. Louis, is expected to present a cleanup plant to Delaware environmental officials.
Randall Jostes, the Commercial Development's CEO, says said the property can be valuable because it is close to Interstate 95, rail systems and water.
Delaware Economic Development Office Director Alan Levin says state officials are very encouraged by the company's plan.
The plant shut down last year.
