GRESHAM, Oregon — Gresham Police are asking the public to help locate a missing man who walked away from an adult care facility that specializes in caring for deaf and deaf-mute individuals.

Authorities say 51-year-old Scott Allen left the Chestnut Lane facility sometime between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.

Allen has only lived in Gresham for a month and he has a brain injury that has left him with no short-term memory. He also suffers from seizures and takes medication for them, which he does not have with him.

Allen is described as 5'10" weighing approximately 175 pounds with brown hair that is balding on top. He has a beard and wears glasses. Allen communicates with American Sign Language.

Anyone with information on Allen is asked to call the non-emergency police line, 503-823-3333.
