SHELBURNE, Vermont — Makers of do-it-yourself projects — whether it's a piece of art or a tool— are encouraged to take part in the fourth-annual Champlain Mini Maker Faire in Shelburne this fall.

More than 2,000 people are expected to attend the weekend event at the Coach Barn at Shelburne Farms on Sept. 26 and 27.

Organizers say they are looking for do-it-yourself projects that are unique, inspiring, engaging and interactive with observers.

Makers can apply to participate in the event until Aug. 9.

Organizers say this year's faire will include the ChampBot Challenge and the inaugural Drone Derby.
