ALBANY, New York — New York's Commission on Judicial Conduct says a justice has resigned from the Eastchester Town Court following a formal complaint about his handling of traffic cases in the Westchester County township.

According to his signed agreement with the commission, Justice Domenick J. Porco will not seek or accept any future judicial office.

The complaint alleges that Porco did not sufficiently oversee dispositions of traffic cases in his court, that a review of 2012 cases found deficient records, raising questions about whether he actually approved them.

The attorney has been a town justice since 1992. His current term at a salary of $42,545 was scheduled to expire after next year.

His resignation is effective Tuesday.
