Blue Hill man arrested on heroin trafficking charge; police say 1,000 doses found in vehicle

BUCKSPORT, Maine — Authorities say a Blue Hill, Maine, man has been arrested on heroin trafficking charges.

Twenty-nine-year-old Justin Horton was arrested around 4 a.m. Saturday after police stopped his vehicle in Bucksport. Police, sheriff's deputies and Maine Drug Enforcement Agency agents say they found 100 grams of heroin representing about 1,000 individual doses and $1,800 in cash hidden in Horton's vehicle.

Investigators say they learned on Friday that Horton would be travelling out of state to get a significant amount of heroin for resale in Hancock County.

It was not immediately known if Horton is being represented by an attorney.
