TULSA, Oklahoma — Several students from McLain Junior High School sustained minor injuries after the school bus they were on collided with an SUV in Tulsa.
Tulsa Public Schools spokesman Chris Payne tells the Tulsa World (http://bit.ly/1EsGClF ) that 36 students were on the bus when it collided head-on with another vehicle Monday. The SUV also hit another car during the collision.
The drivers of all three vehicles were taken to area hospitals for treatment. Emergency Medical Services Authority spokeswoman Kelli Bruer said that one person was transported in serious condition, while two others were hospitalized in fair condition. Eleven people were evaluated and treated at the scene.
The school spokesman said that parents were alerted almost immediately about the accident after it occurred.
An official cause of the accident has not been determined at this time.
