Michael White throws for 3 TDs, rushes for 2 more as Marist overwhelms Stetson 49-14


POUGHKEEPSIE, New York — Michael White threw for three touchdowns and rushed for two more as Marist overwhelmed Stetson 49-14 on Saturday.

Marist's Matt Tralli grabbed four passes for 83 yards and three touchdowns, giving him 2,013 career receiving yards.

White, who has passed for 2,007 yards this season, threw for 234 yards and rushed for 50 yards for Marist (5-4, 4-2 Pioneer League), which has now won four straight after starting the season 1-4. The Red Foxes also dropped their first two conference games but now trail only Dayton and San Diego in league play. They are tied with Morehead State, which lost to Dayton 20-15 on Saturday.

White ran for one score and passed for two more in the first quarter as the Red Foxes jumped out to a 21-7 lead. Lawrence Dickens returned a kickoff in the third quarter 100 yards for a touchdown and a 35-14 lead.
