Car-train collision injures 2 in west-central Kansas


OGALLAH, Kansas — A train struck a vehicle in west-central Kansas, injuring the two people in the vehicle.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says a southbound car failed to yield to the train Sunday morning at a crossing in Ogallah. The train struck the car on the rear quarter panel on its passenger side, sending the car into a ditch.

The Salina Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1S7x0Eb ) an adult and a 16-year-old in the car were injured. No information was available on their conditions.
