CAMDEN, New Jersey — A southern New Jersey man is facing child pornography charges.

Camden County prosecutors say 55-year-old Joseph McCann Jr. was arrested after authorities executed a search warrant at his Pine Hill home.

Authorities allegedly found numerous child pornography images on a hard drive and also seized several electronic devices. They say a forensic analysis conducted on one of the hard drives revealed stored images that were made available to others on a shared peer-to-peer network.

McCann was charged with possessing and distributing child porn. He surrendered to authorities at his home on Friday afternoon, and his bail was set at $100,000.

It wasn't known Saturday if he's retained an attorney.

Prosecutors say the investigation began after detectives monitoring a peer-to-peer file-sharing program noticed child pornography was allegedly being downloaded from an IP address associated with McCann's home.
