LAKE CHARLES, Louisiana — The 3rd Circuit Court of Appeal has affirmed the sentence and conviction of a 20-year-old Lake Charles man who killed three people shooting dice in March 2013.

Twenty-year-old Jeminskian Arvie, 23-year-old David Galmore and 20-year-old Fitzgerald Guillory were killed when Armonta Hadnot approached a group of six dice players to rob them, then opened fire.

Another man reportedly took part in the robbery and killings, but a second suspect has never been named.

The three surviving witnesses knew Hadnot, but were unable to identify the other man.

The American Press reports (http://bit.ly/1eOXZNb) Judge Clayton Davis sentenced Hadnot to the maximum of three consecutive life sentences, plus 150 years.

Defense attorneys for Hadnot argued that his sentence was excessively cruel because he was only 18 at the time of the crime.
