NEW YORK — Plainview led all the way Wednesday, beating Red Rifle by three quarters of a length in the $85,000 allowance feature on the turf at Belmont Park.

The 6-year-old gelding trained by Greg DiPrima and ridden by Jose Lezcano improved to 8 for 30. The time was 1:33.39 for the mile on the firm course.

The 2-1 favorite, Plainview paid $6.40, $3.50 and $2.90. Red Rifle returned $6.20 and $3.80 while Lochte paid $3.10 to show.
