Kentucky State Police accepting applications for 94th Academy, written tests scheduled


FRANKFORT, Kentucky — People interested in becoming a Kentucky State Police trooper can now apply for the agency's 94th Academy.

Written tests start next month and are being given in Pikeville, Murray, Bowling Green, Barbourville and Frankfort. Each city has a different testing date and deadline. Deadlines begin next Monday.

The application website at http://www.kentuckystatepolice.org/career.html offers information including an outline of the application process, a list of minimum requirements and disqualifications, a downloadable application form with a list of supporting documents required, a downloadable study guide for the written test, physical standards requirements and a list of testing dates, times and locations.

If more information is needed, applicants can call (866) 360-3165 toll-free during office hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern time Monday through Friday or leave a message after hours.
