CHANHASSEN, Minnesota — Lightning strikes accompanying strong thunderstorms have done some damage in a tiny Minnesota tourist town which jokingly bills itself as the "restaurant capital of the world."

Fire officials say lightning sparked a fire which destroyed the Dorset House restaurant, and significantly damaged Companeros in Dorset early Thursday.

KFGO ( ) radio reports lightning is also suspected of causing a fire that destroyed five mobile homes in rural Park Rapids. No one was injured.

Meanwhile, the National Weather Service says severe wind gusts blew the roof off another restaurant about an hour down the highway in Hewitt. Otter Tail County sheriff's officials say winds were strong enough to push a pickup truck off Highway 210.
