WAYCROSS, Georgia — Two technical colleges in southeastern Georgia have officially merged to become the Coastal Pines Technical College.
The Brunswick news reports (http://bit.ly/TMsOwM ) that staff across seven instructional sites comprising the former Altamaha Technical College and Okefenokee Technical College officially merged on Tuesday. The newly consolidated school will span 13 counties.
The newspaper reports former Okefenokee Tech President Glenn Deibert will serve as president of the consolidated school. The college's main campus will be in Waycross.
