Del. drivers see gas prices rise to $2.19 per gallon, up 3 cents from last week

WASHINGTON — Motorists in Delaware are paying 3 cents more at the pump when compared with a week ago.

AAA Mid-Atlantic said Sunday in a weekly report that the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Delaware was $2.19. That's compared to $2.16 a week ago.

Motorists in the region are paying $1.20 less than a year ago. At this time last year Delaware drivers were paying $3.39 per gallon.

The price of gas in the state is 6 cents less than the national average of $2.25 per gallon.
