Gov. Hassan awards job training grants to 7 companies to help bolster their workforces

CONCORD, New Hampshire — Seven New Hampshire companies are receiving grants to train employees and bolster their workforces.

Gov. Maggie Hassan says the latest round of job training grants totals more than $116,000 when matched by the companies receiving them.

She says the grants will help train or improve job skills for 220 workers.

Recipients include Green Mountain Communications in Pembroke; Anheuser-Busch of Merrimack, ContriTech Thermopol of Somersworth, C3i in Hampton, CHI Engineering of Portsmouth, Dartmouth Printing of Hanover and Modernist Pantry of Portsmouth.

The Job Training Fund has awarded $7,940,207.64 in grants since October 2007.

Hassan announced the latest round of grants Friday.
