PASCAGOULA, Mississippi — A Pascagoula man has been convicted of three counts of aggravated assault in a March 6, 2011, shooting that wounded five people.

The Jackson County jury convicted 35-year-old Dominic Robinson on Wednesday. The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1mRNQpv ) Circuit Judge Dale Harkey sentenced Robinson to a total of 30 years followed by five years of post-release supervision.

Prosecutors say Robinson shot two private security guards and three patrons at Creme De La Creme, a former Moss Point restaurant turned rental facility for weddings, parties, concerts and other events.

Though Robinson was indicted on five counts of aggravated assault, Harkey dismissed two of the charges because two of the victims did not show up at trial.

Robinson testified he was not involved in the shooting and left the business when told to.
