DETROIT — Career and technical education opportunities in Detroit's public schools will be highlighted during several after-school events.
Enrollment fairs are scheduled Wednesday at the A. Philip Randolph Career and Technical High School, Breithaupt Career and Technical Center, Crockett Career and Technical Center and Golightly Career and Technical Center/Davis Aerospace Technical High School.
The district says students at Randolph will tell visitors how they gain hands-on experience in construction trades. Offerings include business partnerships with industry leaders.
Breithaupt students will demonstrate skills used restaurant, cosmetology and automotive fields. Crockett prepares students for careers in laboratory and medical inpatient settings.
Parents wanting their children to attend the schools can apply on-site. Open enrollment for all schools starts April 18.
