SCRANTON , Pennsylvania — A judge has upheld an eastern Pennsylvania man's conviction in the murder of a man whose body was found in a sport utility vehicle at the bottom of a northeastern Pennsylvania ravine.

Twenty-four-year-old Neil Pal of Scranton was sentenced to life in prison plus 20 to 40 years in the July 2013 death of 24-year-old Frank Bonacci. Lackawanna County prosecutors said he drove Bonacci to an isolated area and provided the gun that 24-year-old Jason Dominick used to kill the victim, and the two then launched the SUV down a 72-foot ravine with the body inside.

The (Scranton) Times-Tribune (http://bit.ly/1yQB2qz ) reports that a judge Friday rejected Pal's arguments that he was convicted without sufficient evidence and the trial should have been moved to another county, among other issues.
