CASPER, Wyoming — Artists can begin sending submissions to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department for the conservation stamp art contest.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1DEp4PG ) the winner's picture of this year's featured animal, the swift fox, will be featured on the 2016 stamp. The winner will receive $3,500, while second place receives $1,500 and third place $750.

The competition is open to professional artists, and entries must be postmarked or delivered to the Game and Fish office in Cheyenne by March 1. This year's contest allows up to two entries per artist.

Almost all hunters and anglers in the state must buy the stamp every year.
