LAS VEGAS — Police say a woman was hospitalized and a man was arrested after a shooting that may have stemmed from a landlord-tenant dispute at an apartment complex a few blocks east of the Las Vegas Strip.

Officer Laura Meltzer says the wounded woman was taken to Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center after the shooting about 11 a.m. at a complex on Sierra Vista Drive. That's near Maryland Parkway and Desert Inn Road.

Meltzer says the woman may have been an apartment building employee, and her accused assailant may have been a former tenant.

Their names weren't immediately made public.

Meltzer says no one else was injured in the incident.
