MILWAUKEE — A month-old baby boy was died in Milwaukee after reportedly sleeping with his mother — the second co-sleeping death in the city this week.
The Milwaukee County medical examiner's office says reports indicate the boy was co-sleeping with his mother in a home on Milwaukee's north side. The boy was pronounced dead shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday.
The Journal Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1EHxIxL ) reports on Monday morning, a 10-day-old boy died after reportedly co-sleeping with his mother and a sibling in Milwaukee.
The medical examiner's office says as many as 16 Milwaukee County children have died this year in unsafe sleep conditions.
It's safest for babies to sleep alone, on their backs in a crib free of blankets, toys and pillows.
