PINE BLUFF, Arkansas — A man has been arrested in the 2015 slaying of a University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff student.
Police say the Pine Bluff man was arrested Wednesday after investigators discovered evidence linking him to 21-year-old Keith Wilbert's death.
Wilbert was found fatally shot in his home in west Pine Bluff last September. At the time of the homicide, police believed that it was a home invasion and that three people were involved in the robbery.
Wilbert was a junior at the university. About 100 of his classmates, teachers, friends and family honored his life at a vigil hosted by student government one week after he died.
The university's chancellor Laurence Alexander said the university is grateful for the investigation that led to the arrest.
An investigation is ongoing.
