BISMARCK, North Dakota — The North Dakota Highway Patrol is asking for the public's help in finding an inmate who walked away from the Missouri River Correctional Center in Bismarck.

Authorities say 39-year-old Ernesto Difabio left the prison on June 14. Difabio was serving a five-year sentence and has a history of theft and narcotics offenses.

Difabio is described as a 180-pound man with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 6 inches tall.

Authorities say if found, the public should not approach Difabio.
