JACKSON, Mississippi — Public school students in northern Mississippi will spend another day at home.

The National Weather Service says travel remain hazardous in the northern counties.

Forecasters say temperatures below freezing Friday morning caused Thursday's snow and sleet to refreeze.

Temperatures are expected to climb above freezing Friday which will help the winter precipitation melt.
