BOWLING GREEN, Kentucky — A 30-year-old man has been sentenced to 38 years in prison after being convicted of killing a former motorcycle club member.
The Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/1LnHTbP ) a Warren County jury found William Robert "Bobby" Rigdon of Lebanon guilty Wednesday of shooting and killing 50-year-old Wendell Gleason Pyles of Columbia.
Pyles' body was found at his workplace at Tarter Gate Co. in Casey County in September 2012.
Prosecutors say Rigdon, who was a member of the Frankfort chapter of the Iron Horsemen Motorcycle Club, shot former member Pyles to show his loyalty to the club and prove himself to the chapter's president, David Salyers.
Last year, Salyers was convicted of complicity to murder and sentenced to over 20 years in prison.
Rigdon's attorney, Bridget Hofler, maintains that Salyers was the gunman.
