REHOBOTH BEACH, Delaware — Delaware State Police say a 10-year-old boy walked out of his bedroom in the middle of the night to find a burglary suspect in his Rehoboth Beach home.

Police say troopers called to the home on Princess Street early Saturday found a man holding down the intruder. Police say the boy heard a noise and walked out of his room to see 33-year-old David Fooks of Lewes knocking things over in the bathroom.

The boy screamed for this father, who told a woman to lock herself in a room with the children. Police say Fooks knocked the man down, but he kept fighting and held Fooks down until troopers arrived.

Police say Fooks is charged with burglary, third-degree assault, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal mischief.
