PORTLAND, Maine — More snow is on tap for Maine and New Hampshire.
The National Weather Service said snowfall was expected to begin Wednesday evening and continue through Thursday, with as much as 8 to 10 inches of snow in Maine, and lesser amounts in New Hampshire.
It's the last thing most communities need.
Meteorologist James Brown from the National Weather Service office in Gray, Maine, says snowfall is above average across the region. In Portland, for example, nearly 80 inches of snow had fallen before the new storm, putting the city more than three feet above normal.
