Princeton defense has 3 INTs, 1 fumble recovery; Tigers hand Columbia 24th straight loss, 10-5


PRINCETON, New Jersey — John Lovett threw a first-quarter touchdown pass to Trevor Osborne, the Princeton defense intercepted three passes and recovered a fumble, and the Tigers beat Columbia 10-5 on a rainy Friday night for the Lions' 24th straight loss.

Princeton is 3-0 for the first time since 2006.

Lovett was just 4-of-6 passing for 31 yards for Princeton (3-0, 1-0 Ivy League). Khamal Brown, Andrew Frisby and John Hill each had an interception. Di Andre Atwater set up Columbia's three-play touchdown drive with a 47-yard run. He finished with four carries for 59 yards.

Skyler Mornhinweg was 6 of 20 for 102 yards with three interceptions for Columbia (0-3, 0-1). Cameron Molinaran 27 times for 106 yards.

Columbia's Max Keefe blocked a punt in the third quarter and teammate Jacob Young was first to the ball in the end zone, but he stepped out of bounds for a safety.
