CROWN POINT, Indiana — A Gary teenager charged with killing two other Gary teenagers has been found guilty of murder, robbery while armed and conspiracy to commit criminal gang activity.

The Times of Munster reports (http://bit.ly/1q3eVow ) 17-year-old Donnell Wilson was found guilty Thursday. Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 1.

Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Michael Woods told the jury during closing arguments that a photo of 19-year-old Shaqwone Ham and 18-year-old Charles Wood with gang-affiliated hand gestures to led to their deaths.

Eighteen-year-old Jonte Crawford of Gary, also was charged in the deaths and pleaded guilty in May to fatally shooting Ham as part of a plea agreement.

Wilson's attorney, John Cantrell, tried to discredit the investigation by telling the jury the first responding officer is related to the Crawford family.
