DENVER — More moderate to heavy rain is expected along the Front Range, raising the risk of flooding.

The latest round of wet weather is forecast to hit the Colorado Springs area first on Tuesday and then make its way up to Douglas, Jefferson, Boulder and Larimer counties. The ground in some areas is already saturated from heavy rain Monday night.

The National Weather Service says some storms could be capable of producing up to 1.5 inches of rain an hour. It says the foothills west of Denver and the Waldo Canyon and Black Forest burn scars will be among the areas most susceptible to flash flooding.
